Snow Farm Vineyard | Vermont Event Venue & Gathering Space
More Than a Vineyard: A Place to Gather, Listen, and Connect
There is something special about gathering in a vineyard.
Perhaps it’s the open skies stretching across the Champlain Islands, the rows of vines that remind us of patience and perseverance, or the simple fact that nature has a way of encouraging people to slow down. At Snow Farm Vineyard & Winery, we’ve always believed our property is about much more than making exceptional Vermont wines. It is about creating a place where people can come together.
Over the years, our vineyard tent has become home to hundreds of gatherings. From university alumni celebrations and nonprofit fundraisers to business meetings, concerts, weddings, civic organizations, and community forums, we’ve welcomed groups from every corner of Vermont and beyond. While the events themselves may differ, they all share something in common: people coming together around a shared experience.
The Lane family has always believed that hospitality means making everyone feel welcome.
Our goal is to provide a beautiful, comfortable, and accessible venue where guests can relax, enjoy the surroundings, and engage with one another. Whether the occasion is a joyful celebration, an educational seminar, a charitable fundraiser, or a community discussion, we want every guest to feel they have a seat at the table.
A Space Designed for Conversation
In today’s world, opportunities for genuine face-to-face conversation can feel increasingly rare. We believe they matter more than ever.
Our vineyard has hosted organizations representing many different perspectives, missions, and communities. We don’t see our role as choosing which conversations deserve to happen—we see our role as providing a respectful environment where they can happen.
When people gather under our tent, surrounded by vineyards and Lake Champlain, the setting naturally encourages thoughtful dialogue. It reminds us that while we may not always agree, we can still listen, learn, and share space with one another respectfully.
The Lane family is committed to maintaining Snow Farm as a place where conversations can happen, ideas can be exchanged, and neighbors can come together in a spirit of civility and mutual respect.
South Hero is the second most populated town in the Islands, with 1,600 people recorded in the 2010 census. If you’re looking for a friendly small town, you’ve found it. The population of all five towns combined is only about 5,500.
A Venue for Every Occasion
Our property has become one of Vermont’s premier destinations for large gatherings because it combines natural beauty with practical amenities.
Whether hosting:
- Weddings and family celebrations
- Corporate retreats and business meetings
- Nonprofit galas and fundraising events
- University and alumni gatherings
- Community organizations
- Educational programs
- Live music and cultural events
- Public forums and civic discussions
our team works to ensure every event feels welcoming, organized, and memorable.
The expansive event tent, panoramic vineyard views, accessible grounds, and experienced hospitality staff allow organizations to focus on what matters most—the people they’ve brought together.
Rooted in Community
Growing grapes requires patience, care, and long-term thinking. Building community isn’t much different.
For decades, Snow Farm Vineyard & Winery has been proud to serve as more than a winery. We’ve become a gathering place where milestones are celebrated, friendships are strengthened, ideas are shared, and memories are made.
That commitment will continue for generations to come.
Whether you’re planning a wedding, a reunion, a corporate retreat, a nonprofit fundraiser, or a community gathering, we would be honored to welcome you to Snow Farm and help create an event where people leave feeling more connected than when they arrived.
Because great wine brings people together—but meaningful conversations are what keep them coming back.
